The rotary ticket gate antenna consists of four monopole antennas combined in a phase network to form a single circularly polarized antenna. The antenna pattern is almost omnidirectional and there are no blind spots that can cause fading on tumbling satellites. The antenna is compatible with the construction of other vendors and can be mounted on either the top or bottom panel of a microsatellite. The antenna PCB is designed to be out of the way of the payload or panel mounted at the top or bottom. It is thin and has a large hole in the center for camera lenses, etc., on which the solar panel can be mounted.
